| At Shinjuku Gyoen Gakuin, students move one academic level every six months, and through this breakdown of the program, we can measure the student’s steady improvement in language ability. The teachers we have gathered all have plenty of experience. For example, I myself, Principal Yoshimi Hasegawa, am a graduate of the Tokyo Foreign Language University and fluent in Chinese. Teaching materials are carefully selected according to the student’s level. At the same time, to facilitate understanding of Japanese culture, we have hikes, receptions, social studies, and other such extracurricular lessons at opportune moments and have opportunities to acquire spoken Japanese to deepen cultural exchange with the Japanese. Through this method, students can master Japanese in a short period of time at this school. |

I’m sure all of you who want to study in Japan will come with various goals. I believe that if you study here at Shinjuku Gyoen Gakuin, those wishes will be granted. We’re all hoping you to come to like Japan. Studying abroad, you will be able to understand another country’s culture and values through a language that differs from your own, and thus, you will come to develop eyes that observe your home country objectively. Through this, we come to respect the importance of our “differences” and “coexistence” and come to appreciate each other. Please, use the knowledge of Japan you gain at Shinjuku Gyoen Gakuin to make a cultural contribution through jobs like translation or foreign trade. |
Curriculum
At Shinjuku Gyoen Gakuin, because we aim to teach Japanese in a short period of time, lessons are done by categorizing the elements necessary to learning a language, grammar and syntax, reading comprehension, writing, and speaking, so you can learn in steps even from the very beginning. |

We have extracurricular activities that everyone participates in twice a year (July and February), like theatre or field trips to Disneyland.
